Amanda
Celebrating her 6th year here!

I am originally from East Texas. I moved to the Houston area to attend the Tomball College Veterinary Tech Program in 2003.
I found a home working at Louetta Animal Hospital immediately, and have been here ever since. I really enjoy assisting in surgery.
Currently, I am continuing to specialize in dental hygine.
Cleaning up poop is not particularly my favorite part of the job,
but hey, someone has to do it, right?
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiance` David, my family and friends. I love starbucks coffee and fishing.
I have 3 pets: two kitties, Mitzi a little tri-pod named Nubbin,
and one bunny, Hansi.

Katie
Receptionist/Tech Assistant

Hi! My name is Katie. I moved to the Spring area around Easter of 2005, and have been around animals all my life. I have had a variety of pets growing up, but for now, I have 2 kitties, 3 puppies and a ferret. I have been working at LAH to help animals and further my knowledge about them as much as possible. While working, I have also been attending college part time and hope that my hard work will lead to becoming a veterinarian.

Elizabeth
Formerly our Lead Receptionist
I know that you all remember Elizabeth. We miss her terribly! We would like to share how beautiful she was the day she married her wonderful Fiance` Brian. They wed in Hawaii, Brian's home. She was a lovely bride, but we all knew that she would be stunning!
Congratulations, Elizabeth and Brian! They moved back to California (around the San Francisco area) where they are both from. Enjoy a long and wonderful life you two! We will never forget you!

Spending time in the library......napping with my friend Hurley..........testing the scale
I came to Louetta Animal Hospital at the hands of a good samaritan who found me on the double yellow lines on Louetta in October 2007. They brought me in and Dr. Henson gave me a buzz cut and fixed all my cuts and scrapes. I live for food, so I am on a perpetual diet of r/d ........... >"<
I have 9 pets: all humans!
(They are a lot of work!)
and finally................

Ruthie Barker
Hospital Administrator
I was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana,
moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1990 and stayed for 15 years,
then California for 3 and back home to my beloved South.
Attended the University of New Orleans and majored in psychology and business. Had 3 successful businesses in the PNW, which I sold before moving to California where I ran a small manufacturing company. I bought a lovely home in Spring and came on board when Dr. Henson took over the practice - I have found my work home as well. The quality and compassion that I see from my entire team each and every day is something that makes me very proud. Their dedication to our mission as well as to one another
is very rare and very rewarding to find in one's work life. I am very fortunate!
I am owned by 3 pets, all rescues:
Bella B., a Golden Retriever and Mollie, a sassy little tortoise shell kitty, and Alice, a little jet black bullet kitty that Dr. Corona (one of our relief vets) asked me to "watch" for her a year ago.........sneaky gal!
